HaiPad M702T - tablet / media center

    Good afternoon.

Today I want to describe my feelings about using the HaiPad M702T.

The kit includes the device itself, instructions in English, charging + an adapter for Orthodox sockets, a USB data cable, headphones and a remote + battery for it.

Everything is neatly packaged and looks decent, does not smell, does not get your hands dirty :)

    Ergonomics

In terms of ergonomics, the device was able to be held comfortably and pleasantly in the hands. The aluminum case gives the tablet an additional charm. I would also like to note the presence of hardkey buttons: back, menu and home. In my opinion this is a big plus.

    Interfaces

In this regard, too, everything is OK. On the side panel there are, a charging connector, a microphone hole (not everyone knows, there is also a reset button in this hole), a headphone jack, mini HDMI, mini USB, a microSD card slot and a USB port.

    USB

I connected a hub to USB and through it a mouse, keyboard, USB flash drive and external screw - everything is ok.
3G whistles are not tested, support for the following dongles is announced: Huawei E1750 (WCDMA), Huawei E1550 (WCDMA), Huawei E1752 (WCDMA), Huawei EC1261 (EVDO), HSDPA7.2M (WCDMA), Vodafone K3565 Rev2 (WCDMA), ZTE (TDSCDMA ) From the forums it’s clear that people use it successfully.

    Monitor

Color reproduction and viewing angles are, in my opinion, quite acceptable, and they have been seen worse.

Separately, it is worth focusing on the touch component of the screen. In my memory, this is the first resistive touchscreen with multitouch support, to be more precise, dual touch. To use this property you need to adapt. A person who is trying to use this multitouch for the first time has a strong desire to throw a tablet with all his might against the wall.

In general, the responsiveness of the sensor is quite acceptable (for a resistive wheelbarrow).

    Camera

For the most part, the camera on the device is present for show. But if someone really wants to plunge into the rampant world of video conferencing, fring and oovoo will give you this opportunity. Skype is not your assistant in this, the camera does not see at all (otherwise it works quite well).

    Software part

    System

Although the Chinese wrote everywhere where they could only Android 2.2, it did not become that way and in fact is Android 2.1. As I understand it 2.2 and will not.
It should be noted that firmware updates periodically come out and make the device really work better.

A certain Chinese launcher is preinstalled on the device, the removal of which leads to the death of the firmware, be careful, in the application manager it looks like a yellow house.

Root on the device is easy to get with z4root.

    Games

You can play on the device, but for some reason, the default firmware contains video driver curves (for example, artifacts in angry birds from there).

    Media center

    HDMI

HDMI works well, the sound transmits and the picture does not cut. To activate, you need to select video out in the video and sound settings and there HDMI, after which it broadcasts everything that happens on the screen to the TV (which is very good, the owners of fytouch II should understand me).

To connect, you need a mini-HDMI-HDMI cable. It is not included.

    Remote controller

The remote control has the following buttons: home, menu, ok / play, stop / back, directional arrows and volume buttons.

It will not work to control the remote control without looking up from the treasured sofa; the remote control does not work in all programs or even on all system interfaces, which makes it useless crap. For his intended purpose, I used a radio mouse.

    Video

Video files from microSD cards play well and smoothly. Flush on it and does not smell. Youtube twists well, you can also watch the video from VKontakte (VK media to help). Contrary to my expectations, SPB TV and other programs of this plan did not work.

    conclusions

The device is really interesting, if only because as bad as it is so good. I will not impose my label on him, I think many will really be in time, but for me personally, it’s a little crowded with such a device.
