903 changes

A month ago, we released our own map of Moscow and the Moscow Region and asked us to write as many messages as possible about the inaccuracies found on the map, which we promised to quickly correct.

Today, after only a month (and this, believe me, is a very short time for the cartographic world!) We updated it. After the launch, we received more than 1000 messages from users. As a result, 903 corrections were made to the card .

The largest number of reviews came from local historians from Orekhovo-Zuevo, Kolomna, Aprelevka and Sergiev Posad. Now we know for sure where exactly in the suburbs live the most active users who are savvy in cartography. :)

The first to write us a message (and introduced himself) Igor. He rightly noted that number 19 on Vishneva Street in Khimki was assigned to a non-existent house. Now, thanks to Igor, the inhabitants of this house number 19 may not worry that they will not get guests or pizza delivery.

And also we corrected a lot of things. For example, the geometry of the Leningrad highway at the request of Cyril:

And they correctly marked on the map the name of the Amber microdistrict at the prompt of Dmitry and Alexander:

Thanks to everyone who sends us comments. This time we made changes to the messages received in the first 2 weeks after launch (the other 2 weeks went to the approval of the card and its preparation for publication). In the future, we will be making changes for the whole month (two weeks before and after the previous update). So write to us more often and more! The more reviews, the more relevant and accurate the map.

And today, a new detailed map has appeared in several cities in the Kaluga region. These are Obninsk , Balabanovo , Belousovo , Borovsk , Zhukov and Maloyaroslavets . The map of these cities was created using the same technology as the map of Moscow.

And finally, the good news for Ukrainian users is a big update of the map of Ukraine . In short, the changes are visible to the naked eye - for example, 3 recently opened metro stations and the Darnitsky bridge appeared on the map of Kiev , read more on the Yandex.Ukraine blog .
