Doodle 4 Google

Today I accidentally came across a page with the history of doodles . I looked in the Doodle History and found there a doodle competition for schoolchildren, called, you guessed it, 'Doodle 4 Google'

    And how many participants?

Last year, about 20,000 schools participated in this event, this year more than 33,000 took part. The number of works from young artists exceeded 107,000.

In the competition, the work is divided into 4 age groups:
    • Students of K-3 classes
    • Students in grades 4-6
    • Students in grades 7-9
    • Students in grades 9-12

Where to see? I want to vote!

Each visitor of the page can vote for one work in each age group. The competition will run until May 13 23:59 (UTC -8). The award ceremony will take place on May 19. And of course, the doodle of the main winner will certainly be on the main page of Google on May 20.

    What awaits the winners?

    • The main prize is $ 15,000, which the young artist will be able to dispose of at his choice, a laptop, a digital tablet for drawing, a T-shirt with his own doodle, a trip to the Google office in New York. The winner’s school will receive a grant of $ 25,000.
    • The remaining 3 finalists will receive $ 5000 each, a T-shirt with their own doodle, a trip to the Google office in New York
    • 40 regional winners will receive a ticket to the Google office in New York, a T-shirt with their own doodle, their work will be exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
    • 400 winners will receive T-shirts and winner certificates.

    And who are the judges?

Celebrities such as Whoopi Goldberg, Michael Phelps, Jim Davis and others are on the list of special guests (i.e. judges) .
