Exynos - smart and green
The heart of our new flagship Galaxy S II (a detailed review of which you could read in a previous post ) is the new dual-core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor, codenamed Exynos. The word "Exynos" comes from the Greek "exypnos" (smart) and "prasinos" (green), which symbolizes greater energy efficiency and optimized work.
“The development of processors for the mobile communications market is one of the core areas of our semiconductor business,” said Jung Seung, Executive Vice President of Marketing, System LSI, Samsung Electronics. “We are pleased to introduce our new Exynos brand, designed for consumers who demand more from their mobile devices. The internal capabilities of Exynos chips allow you to freely implement multimedia features in HD quality with even longer battery life. ”

Exynos is the successor to today's popular Hummingbird processors and was developed for use on smartphones and Tablet PCs. It is a “system-on-a-chip” manufactured by the 45nm LP process and supports a core clock speed of 1 to 1.2 GHz. Each core has 32 kilobytes of cache for data, 32 kilobytes of cache for instructions, and 1 megabyte of cache in the second level.
Features Samsung Exynos allow you to play high-definition video and record Full HD video with a resolution of 1080p at speeds up to 30 frames per second. There is support for dynamic virtual addressing and automatic interleaving. For the power supply meets the mechanism of dynamic changes in voltage and frequency. In addition, USN, HSIC, SATA, PCI Express and GPS are integrated into the chip.
