Opera and Microsoft at the round table "Web Standards" at RIF + CIB 2011

Surely after reading the headline, someone will look at the calendar - is it not April 1 in the yard? No, you were not mistaken, and your eyes did not disappoint. In fact, together with Microsoft, we are organizing a section on web standards within the framework of the RIF + CIB. Hokon Vium Lee  , CTO of Opera and, part-time, of course, one of the creators of CSS in those distant years “when the trees were big,” will arrive to participate in this section from overseas . The second participant is Alex Mogilevsky , a no less well-known developer of Microsoft Internet Explorer from Redmond himself.

Both Haakon and Alex are active participants in the W3C and WHATWG working groups, which, in fact, are responsible for the standards on the Internet, and therefore will be armed with the latest news from the world of HTML5, CSS3 and other most modern standards. Of course, they will talk about their support in browsers and plans for the future.

But why standards if they were not supported by developers? We invited technical directors of the largest portals: Mail.ru and RuTube to discuss the latest news and prospects for introducing new technologies. Of course, we are waiting for everyone who cares about this topic - there will be more than enough opportunities for discussion!

Those who get tired of the road, Opera will provide special vehicles. But this is still a secret;)
