AvtoVAZ and Glonass

Starting today, that is, from March 30, 2011 (remember this day), the largest car manufacturer in Russia AvtoVAZ began to produce its models with a pre-installed chip, it’s scary to say, Glonass . So far, only the first batch of cars has been made, 50 copies in size, under the name Lada Kalina.

The company’s press release notes that “LADA Kalina’s full-time navigator adds 13 thousand rubles to the recommended retail price, which is much cheaper than pre-installed navigation systems on foreign cars of the middle price segment . ” I don’t know, in my opinion it’s easier to buy a GPS-navigator for the same 5000-7000 rubles and enjoy life.

Until the end of 2012, it is planned to equip more than 10 thousand cars with this system. I’m even afraid to ask why this term is chosen for an example ... The
