Intel and Lenovo announced a netbook for students

In September last year, Intel introduced the Classmate PC netbooks to the attention of the younger generation (or rather, the attention of dads and mothers of representatives of this very younger generation). Now Intel has connected Lenovo to the development of Classmate +, an updated netbook for schoolchildren (probably students too). In principle, the netbook looks good, the handle for carrying the device is especially convenient at first glance. There remains, of course, the danger that the netbook can be damaged by pressing it in the crowd, or it can be knocked on the nearest corner - remember yourself at school how much everything was broken and scratched. But if you take care, the device can last several years.
The characteristics of the device are quite interesting: the Atom N455 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 1.3 megapixel webcam, WiFi wireless module, a capacious battery. Windows 7 is installed by default on the netbook. There is a built-in audio system, and depending on the configuration, the netbook can be equipped with 8 or 16 GB SSD, or a 160 or 250 gigabyte hard drive. Oh yes, the display on the netbook is set to 10.1-inch. The device also includes 3 USB 2.0 ports, a card reader, an Ethernet connector.

It is interesting that this device cannot be found in stores - it will be distributed through educational organizations and agencies, mainly in third world countries. In a couple of weeks, 158 thousand of these netbooks will be sent to Buenos Aires.
A press release submitted by manufacturers said that since the appearance of the Classmate PC brand, 3 million such devices have already been sold. Probably, the updated device will also be quite popular. Unfortunately, the price of the device is unknown - apparently, it will be reported directly during the distribution of devices around the world.
In general, the Classmate PC is a very good device, it would have been more or less protected, and it would have been very good. Well, and even so, I myself would not give up the possession of the Classmate PC - and who would refuse, because when traveling this netbook can be quite convenient.
