HideMyAss Proxifier
Hey.
I want to talk about my small but useful extension for Chrome.
Surely many are in a situation where the provider or administrators block some resources.
Not so long ago, I found myself in such a situation: administrators at work blocked access to YouTube, which gave impetus to the creation of the extension. Everyone knows the solution - TOR or numerous web proxies. Naturally, the second option in this case is much more convenient. But attempts to find proxies that allow video streams to pass through themselves were unsuccessful. And then I found out about HideMyAss.com, which can correctly display videos directly from YouTube. But the video inserted into the pages of other sites, while still can not be viewed using this service. To make it possible to view embed-videos was the original purpose of the expansion. Later, I implemented some more useful features for convenient work with HideMyAss.
That's all for now. Which, however, is already enough to have more features than some other popular extensions of this type.
If you find a bug, report it, please, indicating the page on which it was caught.
I would be grateful for suggestions on functionality and development and adequate comments.
You can find the extension in the gallery at the link .
The moped is not mine, because of hypocarm and hyper rules flamingmadness could not publish.

What is now
- the ability to anonymously view and download almost any YouTube video (embedded in the 'iframe') embedded in web pages. At the same time, the player is replaced by a block with three icons that provide the ability to view and download videos through HideMyAss, as well as through the standard YouTube player (exactly as it would have looked without using the extension);

- quick anonymous opening of any page through HideMyAss. To do this, just click on the extension icon and enter the desired url.
- quick anonymous opening of the current tab in two clicks. Useful in cases where the page you opened did not load for any reason.

- Anonymous opening of any link on the page via the context menu.

What is planned
- history;
- scheduled expansion work.
That's all for now. Which, however, is already enough to have more features than some other popular extensions of this type.
