Digest of 6 curious concepts and ideas of the past week

Probably, this post would be better placed on the blog "design". However, it is here, as it seems to me, that it will be more organic - after all, we are talking about concepts and things, more similar to illustrations from science fiction films.

So, people who follow the news in the world of industrial and conceptual design, I know well that ideas and concepts appear almost ten times a day. Not to say that they are all as a selection - fascinating and interesting. But the fact that among them come true pearls is no secret.

Due to my duty (I have a blog about industrial design) I have to write about concepts every day. Just retyping the links here would be wrong and uninteresting. Therefore, today I will write a small digest of the most interesting design topics or successful technical solutions of the past week. If you like it, I promise to periodically repeat this venture.

    1. Wireless synchronization of the camera and iPad The

guys from Fstoppers.com suggested using a bundle of Wi-Fi SD cards, a pocket router and a special program on the iPad for instant synchronization between the camera and the tablet. The delay is only 2-3 seconds. Of course, there is a minus - the tablet shakes itself only jpg'gi. But you can immediately post them on the Internet. All in all, a dream for an online journalist.

    2. Bicycle radio

As bicycles are increasingly being used as urban vehicles, the question of convenience, safety and accessories is becoming increasingly acute. Airbags have already been invented, and now South Korean designer Won Chan Lee has suggested using a special mp3 player with speakers for traveling to music.

    3. Sudan's water towers

    image

According to UN data, there are about 340 million people in Africa who are denied access to drinking water. Thus, in Sudan (Darfur province), where only 2% of the land is suitable for agriculture, conflicts over the right to possess land, water and oil resources periodically arise.

Interestingly, in 2007, scientists found a huge lake near Darfur, comparable in size to Lake Baikal. The Polish designer Gugon Kowalski proposes to build special water towers in Sudan, allowing everyone to get, clean and drink water.

    4. An economical tube

Everything is simple here - the Chinese designer GUO Lili offers to make perforations on the back of the tube with toothpaste, and thereby save its consumption.

    5. Double drum washing machine

    image

Nothing extraordinary here either - the Chinese designer Yun Hyun Wu (hussars, keep quiet!) Proposes to install another drum in the washer door for the isolated washing of things requiring delicate handling. It is interesting that the operating modes of both reels can be different; it is also possible to combine two washing cycles simultaneously.

    6. The highlight of the show is the electronic grave.

Since some of us have been living in the network for a long time, it is proposed that the tombstone be made electronic. According to Asian designers, a modern gravestone should contain a drive with entries from the deceased's blogs, a history of activity on social networks, as well as photos and video clips loaded with the deceased.

All this will be powered by electric panels, and communication with cell phones of relatives will be carried out via the bluetooth channel. It is interesting that access to records will not have anyhow anyone, but only one who will have a special cross that acts as a kind of access key.
