YouTube co-founder Chad Harley quits CEO
At a meeting in Dublin, F.ounders, Harley said he would like to see YouTube as independent as it was before Google acquired it. Google bought YouTube in 2006 for $ 1.65 billion and provided it with great autonomy. However, the departure of Harley means that Google is still tightly controlling YouTube.

In an official post distributed by Google, Harley writes:
For the past two years, I have been taking a more consultative role on YouTube, while Salar Kamangar has been involved in the company's core operations. I will continue to work as a consultant, and I’m happy to witness the next growth phase of YouTube.
