Do not make your Android program free for 1 day

One of the developers for Android complains that he was in a hopeless situation. He successfully sold his program for $ 2.99, until September 6, 2010 decided to hold a promotion and make the program free. Everything turned out fine, with the exception of one - he could not return the price tag back.

As it turned out, the Android Market simply does not support the transfer of a free application to the category of paid ones. What once turned out to be free will remain so forever, this is stated in the Android Market Developer Distribution Agreement , paragraph 3.3. The only option is to re-submit in the form of a new application.

In general, the functional weakness of the Android Market has long been a cause of frustration for developers. What is worth at least the inability to get a direct URL to the program in the store. How can I promote sales and conduct marketing on the Web, if there is not even a link?
