first time we launched real-time search functions in December last year, we aimed to make the latest information more accessible. Our goal was to provide content from a wide variety of sources in real time - right on the search results page. Today we announce the most significant improvement of this service since its launch - now the real-time search has its own page, and we offer even more powerful tools to help you find exactly what you are looking for. Google Search Now it is now available on a separate page at www.google.com/realtime (now the page is being updated and testing new features by clicking on this link ).
On the new home page of the service you will find several useful tools that will help you refine and explain the search results. Firstly, you can use geographic updates to find the latest information about what is happening near you or in your chosen region. For example, if you are traveling in America, you can view the “tweets” from the residents of the city where you are and find out what's interesting is happening nearby.
In addition, we also added a Discussion view to facilitate real-time tracking of online discussions. Often, a separate post on Twitter becomes the subject of extensive discussion with new posts, reposts and comments, however, in order to get a complete picture of it, you had to click on a large number of links yourself. With the new “dialogue” display, you can easily see the whole discussion, and since the “tweets” are organized in chronological order, you can follow its development. Finally, we also added updated content to the Google Alerts service so you can always be up to date with all the events on your chosen topic. You can now set up alerts so that emails come to you immediately when they appear on Twitter. e or other microblogging services of new information. You can also configure the frequency of alerts.
In this short video, you can see how the new features work, as well as get some useful tips for using them.
