Huawei - an uninvited guest in the US market

Huawei workersThe Chinese company Huawei has long since gotten rid of childhood diseases and has grown into a full-fledged player in the telecom business: industrial espionage and copying other people's developments are a long thing in the past. Interested in increasing its own assets, Huawei decided to enter the US market, acquiring several companies to expand its business in the United States. However, despite the advantageous purchase offers - according to some reports, the amount amounted to more than $ 100 million in each case - Huawei was denied the acquisition of assets in the United States.

The parties to the transaction suggest that Huawei was unable to obtain permission to purchase from the US government. Candidates for the purchase were the largest software provider - 2Wire Inc., as well as a division of Motorola Inc. wireless equipment manufacturer recently acquired by Nokia Siemens Network. Most likely, the fault was the past of the company and its creator, Zhengfei Ren (Zhengfei), who for a long time worked for the military organization People's Liberation Army.

This is not the first failure of the company: in 2008, Huawei was not allowed to acquire the American company 3Com under the pretext that in this way the Chinese government is trying to gain access to the technology of intrusion prevention used by the US Department of Defense.
