Solar energy has fallen to the level of nuclear

It's no secret that the cost of solar cells is constantly decreasing: since 1998 they have fallen in price by half. Thus, solar energy becomes more profitable in production. According to a study by scientists at Duke University, some commercial manufacturers in the United States began supplying solar energy at prices below 16 cents per kWh (14 cents in North Carolina), that is, cheaper than the average cost of nuclear energy. Thus, in 2010 there was a historical event that had long been expected - the installation of solar panels has become more cost-effective than the construction of nuclear plants.
