Conky with a theme for Ubuntu and easy setup - a beautiful dashboard
After my last post, many asked what kind of panel is in the screenshots on the right. This is Conky's dashboard and the new Ubuntu 10.04 theme for it. Not only does the theme itself exist, there is an even more convenient wizard for configuring this theme. I’ll tell you about this ...
It turns out the following (with the ability to snap to either side of the screen and fine-tune): First we need Conky himself: Now we need a theme. The author of the topic and its setup wizard is Veoduendes . Download the topic here . Unpack the archive and transfer the resulting .conkytheme folder to the home directory. If the directory already exists, only the contents are transferred. Then we download the setup wizard . unpack the archive and run the ConkyWizard file : By default, Conky starts with a delay of 8 seconds. The wizard will create a .ConkyWizardLaunch file in the home directory , which can be added to startup.
