Free MobileMe for FaceTime?

Steve Jobs at the presentation of the iPhone 4 demonstrated video calls. Product page . In particular, one of the features declared a seamless search for matching contacts from the notebook and the addresses of other users of the service.

For calls of one Weimax operator, we solved a similar problem. There were two solutions: temporarily sending emails and phones from the address book to find matches, and searching and linking stored synchronized contacts to the server.

Apple already has an AppleID, which the user has for purchasing applications, music and books, and there is a paid service for synchronizing all MobileMe. I would suggest that a free plan will appear there and the search will go explicitly or implicitly through synchronization of contacts, and also that you can specify AppleID manually as an email type.

    What do you think?

Interestingly, in the pre-release version of the firmware for 3GS there are no hints of video calls, i.e. it will be a feature of only the new device and the details will become known either at the passing WWDC, or after the launch of sales.
