The degradation of modern games, and subsequently us
The topic was often raised in discussions of various games, the main topic of discussion was the fact that modern games, let’s say this ... only look good, but in fact "bullshit". For me it’s the majority, game developers now for some reason strive to make a game over technological rather than very interesting. Now it’s hard to find a game released after about 2005 with a more or less interesting storyline. It’s even more difficult to find a game in which there will be a plot and atmosphere, I want to note I’m not saying that they are not at all, they are, but not enough.
But I had a question why? Why are developers not keen to do something original, but just want an awesome picture? Well, so far I have found two answers to this question for myself:
1) Well, the most commonplace is to "cut the dough", because "people are hitting"
2) The developers are too spoiled for technical progress.
Of course, the first option is more obvious, the way it is. But I do not exclude the second.
But I wondered more, how does this state of affairs affect people who play this?
Walking around the forums and trackers where various games were discussed, many began to react negatively to distributions in which old games or new games were distributed, but with gorgeous graphics and an interesting idea, for example, not standard control. All such games were showered with reproaches: “What a terrible schedule, how you can play such a G”, “Such a complicated control, you will break your hands” and so on and so forth.
Looking at this, I came to the conclusion that when playing such "popcorn" games in which there is nothing but graphics and beautiful explosions, the future generation forgive those for being rude - they get dumb. I would like to note that I’m talking specifically about Russia and I’m talking specifically about the future generation, because the lion's share of the players in our country are children aged about 12 to 18 years (These are just my personal observations).
Based on this, I think that this is a problem and degradation has begun, because in our time, games are an art that, if not strongly, but still affects society.
