
Amazon announces Kindle for Android
Amazon.com, Inc. Yesterday, May 18, announced the Kindle application for the Android platform. This book-reading application is available not only for the Amazon Kindle, Kindle 2, and Kindle DX, but also for Windows, iPhone OS, BlackBerry, and Mac OS X. Now, Android will be among the supported platforms.
It is expected that the free application will be released this summer. Kindle for Android will support Amazon Whispersync technology, which allows you to synchronize all user information on all supported platforms.
Users will need Android 1.6+ and an SD memory card.
