Convenient e-book

To begin with, I really like the PocketBook 301, or rather its software part. The guys are great, although I can only compare with the Lbook, but in comparison it’s just matter and antimatter. At a minimum, what’s worth the opportunity to set the last open page as a screen saver when you turn it on! (on the other hand, it is not clear why the screen turns off altogether when turned off, because he doesn’t eat anything at all, but if you dig deeper, then why turn off the entire book). I also like the stability and speed of work, the interface (although there are disadvantages), the implementation of bookmarks, the ability to read with a dictionary (for today with an interference in convenience), the presence of a search, the table of contents of the book, and redefinition of keys.
In my opinion, PocketBook is by far the most progressive company in the industry. Yes, the price is a little overpriced, but you get convenience, reliability, innovativeness (gyroscope, wifi, touchscreen, linguo dictionary) but ... some clumsy design. Even if I am subjective, it is obvious that he is at least inconsistent:

The leaflet from below is in the center now closer to the right edge, the leaflet is duplicated from the side, then not. The book is thin and light (301), then thicker and heavier (302). All this complicates the upgrade for the consumer, because the habit also lies on the scales. In this regard, the most, in my opinion, the wrong direction with the Pocketbook 302 is the rejection of additional buttons to please the touchscreen (which, judging by the reviews on youtube, sometimes does not respond). And all the convenience of software that allows you to reconfigure the buttons for yourself simply sinks into oblivion.
What books would we like to see in the future?
For me it:
- Big screen
- Thin and light
- PocketBook Software
- Minimal frame around the screen
- Thumb leaflet (closer to the center of gravity)
- Enough other buttons to override (and they don’t click)
- WITHOUT a touchscreen if it aggravates / thickens / complicates / glares today
- WITHOUT mp3 support (miniature player costs today up to $ 100)
This is how I roughly represent this model: The

orientation of course changes with the gyroscope, while the order of the buttons (from top to bottom) does not change for the user (for the book, it is inverted, compare with the screenshot of the black “inverted” book at the beginning of the topic). I also emphasized the progress bar (a sore spot after switching from LBook in which it was convenient to read overnight until the end of the chapter), I hope programmers will repeat the same. Guys, make such a simple book (and also freeze in ergonomics) and I think your consumer is forever!
I hope that the provocative headline and fake render will interest poketbookers (and not only), so I propose to express everything that you think on the topic “a book that I would buy at least tomorrow”.
