Computer Hardware New Digest (Issue 7)
OCClub.ru team presents a weekly digest of news from the world of computer hardware. We will introduce the most interesting events from the iron world for the week to the readers. Now you do not have to look for interesting news yourself, we will do it for you.

Zotac's GTX480 on Liquid Nitrogen
This weekend we received a sample of the GeForce GTX480 graphics card from Zotac and immediately put the graphics card on nitrogen.
Made CAP-mod, vmem-mod, ocp-mod, ovp-mod - a number of hardware modifications. They added their capacitors, were able to adjust the voltage on the memory, removed the protection of current and voltage.
On the flip side it all looked quite scary) The
maximum frequencies were - 1053/1185 MHz (core / memory). This is the maximum that allowed to set the software - MSI Afterburner. We could not make a voltmod of the core, due to the lack of datasheets that developers do not want to share.
We managed to get the second place in 3DMark03 among single video cards in the world. At the time the result was presented, it was even a record, but klngln interrupted him a couple of days later. For those who don’t know, this is an American overclocker working with EVGA developers. Naturally, he had the opportunity to overclock the card above 1053 MHz, so he managed to make a new record.
NZXT contest “My life revolves around my computer”
NZXT announced a new contest “My life revolves around my
computer” www.nzxt.com/new/news_detail.php?id=173 . To
get excellent prizes you just need to be able to take pictures, be
fun, original and have access to the Facebook resource. There you need to find
NZXT tab and send the original photo of your gaming computer to the
competition. Application deadline is April 30th.

Launch of AMD Six-Core Processors
Today AMD Phenom II x6 six-core processors are officially unveiled. They were based on the Thuban processor core.
Naturally, we put a glass on the processor and cooled it with liquid nitrogen to a temperature of -196 degrees Celsius. The maximum frequency was 6300 MHz. Validation of CPU-Z
A little later we will present the video prepared by our team to the hawk readers.
The power supply Aerocool 600W
The unit received a couple of hours ago, so far only photos.
