YouTube hosts the first ever online composers contest

We are pleased to announce the launch of the first ever YouTube composers online contest . The winners will be determined by an authoritative jury led by the famous conductor Theodor Currentzis. The best works will be performed by the Russian National Orchestra at a gala concert in the hall to them. Tchaikovsky, and a concert recording disc will be released by one of the world's leading record companies.
The YouTube Composers Competition will be held from April 1 to August 20, 2010, and the gala concert where the works of the winners will be performed will take place on September 9. We invite all Russian composers to take part in the Competition, and users to vote for their favorite works!
To apply, you need to send toYouTube contest website has its own business card (a short video with a story about itself) and the score for a large or small symphony orchestra lasting from 7 to 15 minutes. The competition accepts works that have not been previously published and have not won in other competitions. Applications for participation in the competition are accepted from April 1 to May 31, 2010.
A professional jury consisting of conductors and musicologists will select the 10 best works to be recorded by the Russian National Orchestra and published on the contest’s YouTube channel. After publication, the main stage of the competition will begin - the selection of winners. The jury will name the three winners, and according to the results of voting by YouTube users, a prize of audience sympathies will be determined. These composers will become the winners of the Composers Contest on YouTube. We are waiting for your work!
