So, let's talk about full-time software. I will describe the system as I see it, and you write something that would be useful to implement in it yet.
1) A simple, intuitive system, almost anyone can understand it.

The system can be divided into three communicating parts or three basic types of users: administrators , teachers and students . It all starts with the administrators.
Administrator.

1) Courses :
Having entered the system, he adds (if not already) students and proceeds to the creation of his courses. Inside the course, the teacher creates classes, if, for example, he needs to read 32 hours of lectures, then he creates 16 classes (pairs), to which he can also attach files, change the order of classes, can even combine them into sections.
Inside the course there is a tab “Control”, in which he can add a list of control questions with answer options and without. Interestingly, the courses are “reusable”, it is not necessary to re-create them every year, just sign up new groups for this course. Over time, the filling of the course will become informative, the teacher will add manuals, additional materials, video and audio classes to the lesson / course / section, fill out a description of each lesson, so that the student will know what he will learn when he comes in a couple.
2) Schedule :
Further, the teacher proceeds to fill out the schedule (if the administration did not do it for him). He selects one of his courses from the list, indicates which group the class will take and by which days, weeks and time (by the way, in my university the schedule is divided by weeks, there are four weeks of classes that are repeated one after another, over the course of the study of the year ). The teacher fills out the schedule for these 4 weeks, and it is applied to the calendar, in which the lesson is calculated for each date, i.e. looking at the calendar, you can see what lesson is coming (its name, files for it, etc.).

Student.
Can go to your profile on the site, see a list of your group (find middle names, contact numbers). He sees his calendar with upcoming events (lectures, labs, etc.). He sees what class is waiting for him, what he hears there, finds out, can download files for the class and prepare in advance (ha ha :)). I think it would be convenient to print your schedule or calendar so that it is always at hand, in the absence of electronics with the Internet. A student can see his statistics, may be horrified by his poor attendance, and reason (again haha :)). There are several types of control: a) in the form of a regular test, a list of questions with answer options and a limited time (with this test, everything happens automatically, the system evaluates the student); b) in the form of a test without answer options (the teacher himself checks this work and puts a mark). Upon completion of the student’s work, she is sent to the teacher and appears in his teaching department, he can check it, set a grade, and send it back to the student with corrections (or everything happens automatically, depending on the type of control). As a rule, the control of knowledge will be held in a computer class (not at home, this is not an LMS!
