Miss Croft Highway

When the municipal authorities of the British city of Derby ran out of imagination about the name of new roads, they took note of the full power of the Internet and held a general vote. In the list of finalists who came to a vote on the site, the name was Lara Croft Way. In honor of, of course, the famous virtual tomb raider.

The epic with the name of the road began last summer. And recently, the Lara Croft Way option won an unconditional victory: 89% of the 27,000 who voted. No wonder, after all, first of all, Lara Croft is an English aristocrat. And, secondly, the company Core Design, which founded the Tomb Raider series, from 1998 to 2006 worked in Derby.
