Steve Jobs chose a co-author for memoirs
Over the past few years, many potential biographers have attempted to set out a star biography of Steve Jobs, a young visionary who was kicked out of Apple and triumphantly returned there to lead the world into a new era of high-tech innovation.
But all these attempts lacked one important ingredient: cooperation from Jobs himself. Now Apple's CEO, who turns 55 on February 24, has finally decided. Walter Isaacson, the former managing editor of Time magazine, writes memoirs of the cult leader.
The book is in its early stages of planning, NY Times reports . It will describe the whole life of Steve Jobs: from his childhood in Mountain View (later the so-called Silicon Valley will be created there) to his career at Apple.
Steve has already invited Isaacson on an excursion to the home of his foster parents.
Walter Isaacson is currently Executive Director and President of the Aspen Institute in Washington, a nonprofit organization specializing in educational research. He is also the author of two biographical bestsellers about Albert Einstein and Benjamin Franklin. In addition, he wrote a collection of essays on the great leaders of America.
Currently, several unauthorized biographies of Jobs have been published, including this and this . Steve himself angrily spoke about some of them and even tried to take revenge on the guilty publishers by ordering to remove their other books from Apple stores.
