DARPA and NASA plan to begin work on the spaceship "100-Year Starship"

    DARPA and NASA teamed up to take the first step into a new era of space exploration - manned interstellar flights.

    As part of the 100-Year Starship project, the necessary business models and technologies for manned interstellar flights will be developed. One of the goals of the project is to stimulate the creation of new breakthrough technologies, as well as to inspire entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists and youth.

    DARPA is particularly interested in the creation of power plants, energy storage, life support, computers, structures, navigation, etc. - all that can be used for military purposes.
