Stylish and powerful client on Silverlight 4

Today, Tim Heuer’s blog (program manager for Silverlight) posted the announcement that the Facebook app Scott Guthrie demonstrated at PDC09 was made publicly available.

I must say that the new customer is very good! From the very first menu, the client pleases with his appearance:

Silverlight Client for Facebook - Home view

    Window for updating status:

Silverlight Client for Facebook - Status updates

For uploading photos to Facebook albums, there is a convenient way to drag and drop files into the window:

Silverlight Client for Facebook - Add photo

Image galleries themselves can be viewed in a convenient view that resembles the Zune Software application (in general, the whole client resembles it and it is very good).

    Notifications are supported:

As well as uploading images to Facebook directly from your camera:

Silverlight Client for Facebook - Webcamera input

You can watch any video uploaded to Facebook right there in the client:

I’ll add that this client works very quickly, faster than Fishbowl , the previously presented client for Facebook on WPF.

The most amazing thing is that with all the opportunities that the client offers, it is built on pure Silverlight! The whole application is just a high-quality, very beautiful demonstration of what Silverlight 4 is capable of today.

The application is built on Silverlight 4 and for its use it is currently necessary to install the beta version of silverlight, which can be taken here: version for Windows or version for Mac .

The new and excellent client itself can be downloaded from this page.. Install, try, you will like it!
