Smartphone Lenovo Skylight - the history of creation
For a careful study of the new products presented at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2010), we completely forgot that behind every trendy device there is a team of designers who worked hard to meet the deadline. Lenovo writes on its Lenovo Skylight smartbook on its blog . You may not be a fan of the device itself, but you might be interested in how designer Richard Sapper created the device in just a few weeks.
The schedule was so busy that Sapper began to create the concept even before Lenovo officially commissioned him to design. The master did not spare himself: he worked even during the rest - in the hotels and houses of his friends. And the idea to make a case from an olive tree was born by chance, when at some party he met a master who made violins. Sapper also included in the mini-laptop a folding USB port between the keyboard and the bottom of the screen. And where the memory card is now placed, according to Sapper, there should have been a telephone receiver.
