Rating trackers Runet

The year 2009 is over, a new decade begins, with which I sincerely congratulate all readers! P2P has become one of the important phenomena of the past decade, and its popularity is not going to decrease. For example, in 2009, in two series - Heroes and Dexter - the number of downloads exceeded the number of television views . In Russia, p2p file sharing, it can be said, appeared over the past decade. Some trends pass us by, something becomes more popular than in the world (ICQ, Opera browser), which appeared in 1999, Napster just passed us like LimeWire, and ed2k became our first popular P2P protocol whose official client has long been closed, but there are alternatives like eMule.

The explosive growth in popularity of bittorrent occurred in 2006, when (or somewhere around the end of 2005) unlimited Internet began to appear in large cities. Trackers then struggled to cope with the increase in load, the same torrents.ru worked with a very big creak (there was a period when it worked for almost a month, a month not). In those days, file sharing services like RapidShare were even more popular than torrents, which at the beginning did not have a high speed. There are few peers, especially those distributing on wide channels, so it turned out to be faster to download a movie with a pack of 100 megabytes of archives from file sharing than from a torrent.

Not all old trackers have survived to this day, some are more likely dead than alive (for example, torrent.e2k.ru, he appeared in 2004, maybe even earlier torrents.ru). But a lot of new ones appeared, and there are more and more of them. One of the features of Russian torrent farming is the great popularity of closed trackers, with registration, taking into account downloaded and given, and restrictions for those who give a lot less than they download. On the English Internet, the opposite is true, the largest trackers are open, without registration and restrictions.

I tried to make a rating of the torrent trackers of Runet, perhaps not complete, I could forget someone or just not know. Not all trackers have statistics open, and I could not find out the number of peers and torrents on them. Dates of "birth" of trackers are indicated approximately. Any corrections and additions in the comments are welcome.
