The Christmas tree in Copenhagen feeds 15 human forces. Bicycles, 15 volunteers, wires and everything: herringbone, burn. This is not enough. All 700 lights on the coniferous beauty in the middle of City Hall Square are also LED lights. Literally a feast of energy conservation and a gentle attitude towards nature.
Not surprisingly, such a beautiful move was made for a reason. Of course, the Danes can afford noble pampering, but now it is in the name of or in honor of the conference on climate change. The event is important: the pedals were played not only by specially hired volunteers, but also by eligible children, international dignitaries and the mayor of the city.
Beautiful, that's just ineffective. From a meeting on a sore subject, few expect good. And the American congress is to blame for not being able to adopt a document limiting greenhouse gas emissions.
