Bluetooth spam

    Good night to all, Khabravchians!

I want to share a little observation that surprised me very much, but maybe someone has already come across this. Last week, on the way from work, I got stuck in traffic on Nevsky in front of Uprising Square. The cork is standing there regularly, and in fact, everyone is already used to it. So almost at the traffic light on the Rebellion, my phone showed the alert “Receive message via bluetooth from Nokia N90”? I thought, well, probably, someone in a traffic jam is having fun, and clicked “accept”. A picture came up with an advertisement for some sex dating site. I laughed, and drove on. What was my surprise when the next day, at the same place, they send me the same message!

That is, it turns out, somewhere near this traffic light, most likely, in a house on Nevsky there is a computer with a bluetooth module, with software that scans phones around for bluetooth and tries to send an advertising message. At the same time, a place was chosen where traffic jams and a bunch of cars with switched-on phones inside are constantly standing.

In my opinion, a very elegant solution for sending spam, what do you think?
Has anyone else come across similar things?
