Which city loves Call of Duty the most?

Before the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, there are only a few days left, the hype is in full swing. Amazon online store launched an original contest to figure out the city where this game is most loved. The winner is calculated by the ratio of the population of the city (according to the census) to the number of pre-orders. The winning city will receive a $ 5,000 certificate from Amazon. Where to spend "military money", the authorities can decide for themselves.

For several days in a row, the town of Grand Forks (North Dakota) has been holding the lead. Although the city itself is rather small, judging by Wikipedia , it houses the University of North Dakota and a large military base, as well as Amazon’s national call center. With such a "nuclear" combination, Grand Forks is doomed to victory.

By the way, all other amateur shooting cities are very similar to each other: a relatively small official population and a rather large university. Apparently, it’s not only in Russian hostels that students are hacking into Call of Duty locally.

The contest page contains interesting statistics. At the moment, the most popular version is the Xbox version of the game, which was ordered by 61% of buyers, the version for PlayStation was ordered by 31%, and only 8% chose the version for PC. It's good that the game is generally released in the PC version with such a meager popularity.

The official release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is scheduled for November 10.
