The winner is calculated by the ratio of the population of the city (according to the census) to the number of pre-orders. The winning city will receive a $ 5,000 certificate from Amazon. For several days in a row, the town of Grand Forks (North Dakota) has been holding the lead. Although the city itself is rather small, judging by Wikipedia , it houses the University of North Dakota and a large military base, as well as Amazon’s national call center.
