Flash applications for iPhone

Yesterday, during the annual presentation of Adobe Max 2009 , Adobe announced a new version of the Adobe Flash package (Flash Professional CS5) - one of the main innovations: the ability to create stand-alone applications for the iPhone.
No need to explain what this means for the game market for the iPhone and for the AppStore in general.

The next version of Flash will allow you to create applications ready to be sent to the AppStore. Closed beta testing is currently underway, however several applications are already in the Apple Store:

    - That Roach Game
    - Just Letters
    - Chroma Circuit

    Interesting points:

    - The user does not need to install anything, an application is ready to be sent to the AppStore from CS5.
    - Promised OpenGL ES and hardware rendering support using the iPhone GPU.
    - Promised high performance.
    - There is access to the file system (within its folder) and SQL lite
    - Firmware only 3.0 and higher
    - Action Script 3 (1, 2 are not supported)
    - there is no flash in Safari :)
    - Flash applications do not work on the simulator under Mac
    - Available RTMP

All this should be released by the end of the year, and before the office. The release will be public beta ( subscribe to the newsletter on the occasion of its release ).

I must say that the Adob workers prepared just fine: a forum , a fax page , a page on Adobe Labs .

And a little bit of thought on the topic

It seems to me that from the new year on, the game section of the appstore is waiting for big changes ...
We are waiting for millions of ported slag toys?

Although, on the other hand, this is an opportunity for thousands of talented developers to prove themselves.
After all, now there is an opportunity to develop iPhone software for Windows without hemorrhoids.

Well then: a lot of publishers are waiting for you, developers and developers.
There will be questions on the market - please contact, I will answer. You can on Twitter ;)
