Mini Review or Purchase Experience - Acer Revo R3600 (Atom 330 Dual Core)
I recently purchased this wonderful device.
Details to be continued ... ( traffic )

The kit includes: nettop itself, power supply (65 W), stand for vertical installation, VESA fasteners, keyboard and mouse. There was no disk with any software, so drivers for the chipset and video card had to be downloaded from the site.
The case is made very high quality, it is nice to hold it in your hands. The side panels are made of glossy black plastic (prints cannot be avoided). On both sides at the border of the black and white parts there is a small groove - it is necessary for hanging on VESA fasteners.

On the front of the case is a slot for memory cards, audio input / output and an e-SATA port.

The back is already more interesting :) Kensington lock, power input, D-Sub connector (I don’t know why DVI did not, because you can always use an adapter), HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet port, 4 pcs. USB 2.0

On top there is a ventilation grill (it works by blowing), and two USB ports (one of which is located on the right under the plug). I stuck a webcam torn from the EEE 701 into the port with a plug and stuck it on a USB plug.

Bottom is another ventilation hole and slot for stand. A seal is also visible, under which there is a single screw.

I refused to place the nettop on the table right away, since it was bought specifically for the VESA mount on the monitor (hi boomburum) :)
A very interesting and convenient feature is the ability to adjust the height (see pictures):

A few words about the keyboard and mouse.

Both devices are connected via USB. They are made of glossy plastic. The mouse is an ordinary optical mouse, rather a laptop than a desktop one, because too small.
Keyboard with split keys. Presses are very soft and quiet, the layout is made humanly. Emotions from her are only positive.
The power button does not work if you press it at the very top. The best option is to poke right in a circle.
As for noise, it is heard when the SmartFan function is disabled in the BIOS, while the fan speed is ~ 5400 rpm.
When the function is on, the noise disappears and the speed drops to ~ 2500. The processor temperature averages 45 ° C.
So, the system driver gave a joyful “peak”, and the previously unprecedented RevoBoot booted up, which was immediately replaced with Windows 7 by connecting an external DVD drive.

Installation (from the moment of inserting the disk to the full first boot) took ~ 25 minutes. However!
First of all, after the launch, I wanted to check whether HD 1080 really pulls without problems?
By installing K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, I launch HD-video in 1920x1080 resolution.
And what do I see? Right, I see the brakes. In the Performance tab of the task manager, I saw the lack of free RAM.
No problem. We must - add! I unscrew the very same screw, snap the lid off, note the presence of a free memory slot. Fortunately, after a mini-upgrade I still had a 1 GB DDR2 667 MHz bracket, which I removed from my EEE 901 (and again salute).
After adding the bar, the “iGPU Frame Buffer Size” parameter has changed in the BIOS, which makes it possible to set the amount of RAM reserved by the integrated graphics processor for your own needs (with 1 GB of memory, you can manually select up to 256 MB, with 2 GB up to 512 MB. I left the value Auto = 256).
When you restart HD-video, ~ 800 MB of memory remains - better already, but the brakes still remain. It's already my fault. I pulled out "Improved Video Handler" in KMPlayer, and voila!

No brakes, no sticky sound and scattering pictures! The processor load during viewing was kept at 40%.
Pleased with the fast work of the hard drive. When copying a movie from the server, the speed was at the level of 50 MB / s.

The performance index in Windows showed 3.3 points (on the processor).

There is no point in talking about the office part of the work, since Revo copes with this task with a bang!
Pros:
- Nice design and high-quality assembly.
- Small size and the ability to mount the housing on the monitor.
- Support for HD 1080.
- Affordable price (10,000 rubles for the version with Linux).
- Keyboard and mouse included.
Cons:
- Lack of DVI output.
- Glossy panels on the sides of the case (beautiful, if not touched) :)
- Loss of warranty when adding / replacing RAM.
Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase. I picked up a good replacement for my desktop (C2D 1.83GHz, 3GB, 512 MB 9600GTX), which has already been removed from the table :)

Thank you for your attention!
