The British conducted a study on the transition to paid access to content . It turned out that 74% would be looking for a free alternative if their favorite news site began to take money for access . Only 5% said they would start paying.

53% would prefer to pay an annual subscription rather than one-time micropayments for access to certain materials.
At the same time, 72% of them are willing to pay less than 10 pounds .
