Steve Ballmer publicly confiscated iPhone from a Microsoft employee VS IBM has banned 360 thousand employees from using Microsoft Office

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has publicly confiscated the iPhone from one of his subordinates at a private event in Seattle, Washington, dedicated, inter alia, to the release of the second version of the Bing search engine. The event was held last Thursday, September 10, according to Hot Hardware.

According to TechFlash, the incident occurred when one of Microsoft employees tried to shoot Ballmer on the camera of his iPhone. Ballmer saw this, walked over and took away his cell phone, after which he returned to the stage, laid it on the floor and pretended to stomp the device, after which he switched back to speech. The whole thing was broadcast on a large screen, and each of the visitors was able to see a demonstrative “lynching”. Ballmer later returned to the event at the event to make sure everyone remembered the lesson well.

It is known that Microsoft does not welcome the use of iPhone and other Apple devices in its ranks, since Apple is one of the main competitors of the company in the market of personal computers, software, players and smartphones. Similar prohibitions apply in the Ballmer family, as well as in the family of Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

Steve Ballmer has long been known for his extraordinary public behavior. Previously, he jumped around the stage, danced, clapping his hands, making faces and shouting loudly, for which he received the nickname "dancing monkey."

A common Microsoft product will be replaced by the office suite Lotus Symphony, created by IBM itself based on OpenOffice.org.

Within ten days, the entire document flow of the company should go to the basis of the open ODF format. Microsoft Office will require specific permission from the guide.

According to the German newspaper Handelsblatt, the new decision is not dictated by the desire to save on the purchase of licenses, but by the desire to adhere to open standards. According to Wikipedia, IBM has 398,455 people.
