New Linux Kernel Vulnerability

    A new critical vulnerability has been found in the Linux kernel that allows a local attacker to perform malicious actions with elevated privileges on the target system. According to Julien Tinne and Tavis Ormandy (authors of the first exploit), all versions of 2.4 and 2.6 kernels released since May 2001 are affected . Linux developers have already released a critical update.
