Let QR codes in auto design
At one time, the idea came to embellish a car with a QR code in order to brighten up a little the hours of life of motorists like me who were lost in traffic jams.
As a result, I made a layout and was about to print, but then another idea came up. Why not combine the two types of codes so that my art can be understood not only by the owners of QR code readers, but also, for example, MS Tag.
As a result, I spent some time studying why the readability of codes of various types depends, which I will write about later.
After these studies, such a strange design of a spare wheel of my four-wheeled friend was born:

Details and info on what to print such codes under a cat.
As you can see, the QR code is printed as the main code, and the black and white MS Tag is integrated inside.
The result of the work is as follows:
MS Tag for normal reading requires maintaining the size of the black square, or rather its lower border, which determines the size and position of clusters with data, as well as white markers on the sides of the code, to synchronize lines.
Therefore, I had to fence his black frame with a small white square. Inside the MS tag, I left the QR code patterns, because MS Tag looks for its points based on the size of the frame and string synchronization, and something else inside its frame does not interfere.
The result of the work looks like this:

Now a little about technology, if someone wants to do better:
Print on ordinary vinyl with a lamination so that inkjet printing does not float.
I got the size 54x54 cm in a circle. It cost about 850 rubles.
It is necessary to customize so that the code is at maximum on a horizontal surface. At my edges, when sticking, I had to make incisions in the circle to remove the large seams. Gluing is better from the center to the edges, so that the code itself turns out without bubbles.
PS> It's certainly hard to call a normal car design, but I think the main thing is to start :)
