Notepad ++ as a tool for co-editing text
At first glance, the functionality of this module was not obvious. The settings window was rather meager; there was no mention on the official website of the editor about this module. As you can see, the settings are simple: host and port. The plugin can create a server on the selected port.
The most interesting part starts after someone else connects to the created server. When connecting, the client creates a new tab with the same name as the file for which the server was opened. The client also sees the full contents of this file. But the best part is that two people can simultaneously edit this file in real time, while one will not interfere with the other (if they will not write in one place), and the text typed by each is highlighted in a different color.
The work of this plug-in was tested at the workplace during the joint writing of the specification, it is very convenient and, unlike Google Docs, is full realtime. True, it sometimes does not work stably, but it can be forgiven since has a version of only 0.1. I think this module has a future and I hope it will be more functional and stable in the future.
PS: I shot the video at home with a laptop and a desktop PC. It came out possibly crooked, but it shows both backlighting and simultaneous dialing.
