Predict Eurovision winner with Google
- From RSS
In 2008, Dima Bilan won the Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade, due to which the 2009 final of the competition will be held in Moscow on May 16. We were all waiting for this victory, but guessing the winner is always very difficult. This year we are launching the Eurovision 2009 website and the Predictor gadget to help each of you follow the popularity of the participants and try to predict the winner. But based on the statistics of search queries, the Google gadget calculates the dynamics of popularity of each participant and shows how many points they could get if the vote happened today. The Predictor gadget can be added to your iGoogle personal page, website, or blog.
The calculation of statistics of search queries complies with the voting rules at the competition:
- Only requests from countries within the European Broadcasting Union (EMU) are taken into account .
- Requests from the country represented by the participant are excluded.
- Participants receive from 1 to 12 points.
On the Eurovision 2009 website, you can watch the videos of each participant or go to the official Eurovision page on Youtube, where the latest videos dedicated to the contest participants will be broadcast.
The “Predictor” rating table has already formed a dozen leaders in popularity, which includes the representative of Russia Anastasia Prikhodko. But the most interesting thing is ahead - the dynamics of popularity is changing daily. Follow the development of events with us!
