Vivace - a touchscreen synthesizer concept
The hairy arms of the designers reached the musical synthesizers. In the concept of the Chinese, Young-Shin Lee and Hae-Jin Jung lack a keyboard, but there is the possibility of a wireless Internet connection. What about the LCD monitor? Well, synthesizers have been equipped with LCD monitors before, take at least the same Yamaha DGX-520 with a 320x240 pixel display.
To be fair to the end, Vivace is not just a synthesizer, but a whole processor for sound processing. Here, there is an equalizer, and sound editing and pumping new samples from the Web. All this is beautifully displayed on a huge screen by the standards of synthesizers, packed in a miniature case and ...
... and, apparently, it will not be too convenient to use. Personally, I don’t really know how to play normally on the phono without pressing keys. Tactile sensations in music are no less important than the sound that comes out. But as a toy, Vivace looks like a pretty nice design.
