Grails Development Plan Announced
So far, developers have reported two versions:
Grails 1.2 “Bedivere” promises to be a stability-oriented release: updating core components (including Spring to version 3.0), switching from Jetty to Tomcat, highlighting WebFlow as a separate plugin, as well as GSP in independent decision. The release is expected in June 2009.
Grails 2.0 Galahad aims to emphasize the modularity of plugins using OSGi technology.
In parallel with these releases, active work will be done on plugins for working with JPA, JCR, Portlet & Flex.
PS Future releases received their names in honor of the knights of the round table of King Arthur, in particular, Galahad, according to legend, found the Holy Grail.
