New iPod shuffle inside
The next-generation iPod shuffle is smaller than the AA battery. All player control buttons are placed on the headphone wire, so you can listen to music from iPod shuffle using any other headphones, not Apple, but you can’t change the composition or change the sound volume. There are no navigation buttons on the iPod shuffle as such. After opening the player’s case, it turned out that its processor, flash memory and RAM are located on the same multilayer chip. The battery of the new iPod shuffle is roughly the size of a 10-cent coin. Its capacity is 73 mAh.
The source also notes that with a total weight of 11 grams, 4 grams weighs the battery and electronic components of iPod shuffle, it is less than a standard sheet of office paper. The design is fastened with just one Phillips screw. Another interesting point that iFixit notes is that the third generation iPod shuffle is not compatible with the second generation dock, and the cable from the new player does not work with the previous version of iPod shuffle.
