imageTime is a valuable commodity and is easily spent online. No matter who you are, a student, developer or SEO optimizer, the Internet is always ready to absorb all your time.

Fortunately, there are many free, easy-to-use stop-watches on the net, with the help of which, through skillful use, you can easily increase the value of time spent.

Start / stop

It is very easy to lose a lot of time if you use the Internet as:
  • playground
  • a nice, comfortable sofa to relax during work.

Instead of wasting a huge amount of time during the working day, try using the "Run / Stop" method. Every time you start working, just start the stopwatch. (My favorite version is this simple full-screen stopwatch that you can roll up while you work). When you take a break, even to go to the toilet, stop the clock. As soon as you return to work, start again.

Very simple. Start / stop. Despite this, after you start the watch, you should not waste time. Get started. If you suddenly find yourself inactive, stop the stopwatch and before starting again, set yourself up to work.

Record Results

Recently, I wrote about the benefits of using the extension for Firefox Zotero . This is a free application that allows you to easily drag and drop any information into a notepad widget. Zotero is very convenient to use with an online stopwatch called Chronme .

Chronme not only knows how to count the amount of time, but also records the date and time of the day when you use it. This is a very useful feature for those who monitor performance, because the logs automatically store information about each break that you take in your work.

From time to time, you can drag and drop this data into the Zotero stand-alone notebook. In addition, since Chronme is a widget, you can put it on your personal blog, where you can record your own indicators daily.

Analyze data

At the end of the day, take a look at the total amount of time you worked and try to determine when exactly you lost time. Try this experiment with one or two friends and compare productivity with each other.

Maybe your friend will do his job more efficiently than you, while spending less time. Maybe not. If so, try to find out the secret to his success.

Use time efficiently

Time is money, especially if you know how to use it wisely. Free up your day by taking the most out of a small amount of time.

Why do you work for several hours on a project that does not deserve 30 minutes of your time? You yourself will see a tendency to reduce the spending of precious minutes, hours and even whole days.
