Android Internet Tablet
Archos company, which mainly produces media players, announced the development of an Internet multimedia tablet called Archos IMT (Internet Media Tablet), which combines the functions of a smartphone and Archos proprietary multimedia interface for access to entertainment functions and a web browser.
Archos IMT will use the Texas Instruments OMAP 3 processor, a hard disk (or SSD, not yet known exactly) up to 500 GB. Also announced is a 5-inch touch screen, support for 3.5G networks (including HSUPA) and HD video playback.
Well and most importantly, Archos IMT will run on Android. However, like those fifty devices on the same OS, the release of which is planned for 2009.
