Google invites university students to participate in the Online Marketing Challenge 2009 - a global student competition in the field of Internet marketing. In 2008, more than 1,600 student teams from 47 countries competed among themselves, and in 2009 the competition will be even larger! Registration will last until January 23 at www.google.com/onlinechallenge , and an exciting competition will begin in February.

How does this happen?

1. Students are divided into teams led by teachers. Each team receives free Google AdWords coupons worth $ 200.

2. Each team engages a small business (up to 100 employees) that does not yet use AdWords.

3. Teams create AdWords accounts and develop an effective marketing campaign to increase traffic to the site of the selected company.

4. Teams optimize and develop the campaign within three weeks, and also provide two reports - at the beginning and at the end of the competition.

5. Google and independent professors from around the world choose winners! What are the prizes? The winning team and its lead teacher will have the opportunity to visit the company's headquarters - Googleplex (California, USA), where they will meet with the AdWords development team. Regional winners will visit the local Google office. But, most importantly, students participate in an exciting worldwide competition and gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of online marketing.
