The first version of Zine is released - a Wordpress clone in Python.
Armin Ronacher , creator of the notorious python packages Pygments (syntax highlighting) and Jinja2 (django-like template engine) released a new creation before Christmas - the engine for the Zine blog, which is apparently a Wordpress clone .
The engine has a rather slender architecture, supports, in addition to the usual blog features, plug-ins and themes, distribution of powers, internationalization and can import posts from Wordpress, Blogger and Atom feeds.
However, in the first version things like search, uploading files and notifications of new posts and comments have not yet been implemented.
