Married to a programmer

I have seen similar discussions at different forums, but I could not find any intelligible thoughts.
So the question itself is: why do women marry IT people. What is special about them, what attracts them - not in a sexual sense, but in the sense of creating a family.

It’s not a secret for anyone that the type cultivated in films about computer scientists is a hardened bespectacled nerd whose eyes are burning at the sight of a new board and who does not know how to communicate with people — something is true in some ways. At least in the fact that people are addicted, for whom work often coincides with a hobby. As a result, reality fades into the background. And for life in our (especially Russian) reality, computer people, with all their intelligence, are not too adapted.

And their interests are far from the interests of “ordinary” people, so there are not too many common topics for discussion. Although, of course, they can draw a lot of versatile information from the Internet, they are really interested in things related to computers.

It turns out that the computer man is an unenviable party? Or is there something in them that makes us believe in the reliability of the created “nest”?

Or are most “computer people" not so computer at all? And are they even interested in all those simple joys that most other men have? And aren't they special?

PS: everywhere in the text the label of “them” can be safely replaced with “us”. If desired, of course :)
