Now GeForce 9400M is officially available not only for Apple

NVidia has officially unveiled its new GeForce 9400M notebook GPU for everyone . This is an integrated solution in a single chip, characterized by high performance. Previously, this processor was only available to Apple, which used it in its MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air. Now all other laptop manufacturers can rely on 9400M supplies.

This new graphics chip has 16 cores. Computing speed - 54 gigaflops. nVidia claims that it is five times faster than the video embedded in the Intel GM45 chipset (Centrino 2). But he is, according to the words of the chief vice president of nVidia, Jeff Fisher (Jeff Fisher), economical in terms of energy consumption. That allows you to play on a laptop for a long time or fully watch a movie in high definition.

I especially liked the fact that nVidia is talking about new chips: tested and approved by Apple.
