When thinking about one problem (topics, articles, etc.), as it often happens, a number of side related problems arise that require no less, and often more intensive study, and in this case, when working with a technical problem, another somewhat less technical, but from this no less interesting and complex, which formed the basis of the plot of this topic.

“Freedom” is perhaps the most popular word in the lips and minds of modern man. Along with this, we rarely think about the meaning of this term, which different people sometimes use in completely opposite meanings.
For some, freedom is an opportunity to “iron”cruise missiles anywhere on the globe and dictate their terms to everyone else, for others - maintaining their territorial independence by any means available. But moving away in our thoughts from the level of peoples and states, we will consider the essence of freedom for each individual person (in this case, the hara man :).

Freedom is divided into negative and positive . The first can be briefly described as the absence of restrictions. It is characterized by the question: “Freedom from What?” The second is the possibility of choice, which provides for the availability of alternatives and the ability to choose. Freedom of choice implies human competence. Positive freedom is directly dependent on resources.

Freedom manifests as freedom of action or free will. The first involves the availability of conditions and resources to achieve goals. It is limited to prohibitions or deprivation of resources. The second is the lack of a unique human behavior strategy and the ability to make independent choices. It is limited by the formation of a certain type of personality, character, and by means of "cunning" manipulations (which it makes no sense to describe here).

Also, freedom can be divided into objective and subjective . The first is the absence of external restrictions, and the second is the internal.

Left somehow for several days without electricity (due to the fault of one drunk electrician), I involuntarily thought about the meaning of the above term and came up with a curious theory that I share with you.
By analogy with the physical mechanics of a typical school course, having appropriated a property such as the number of degrees of freedom, I tried to approximately determine its value based on my goals and resources. The results are below.

• 4 degrees of freedom of movement. As a resident of a fairly large city, I do not fully possess it, because I have not yet made money on a car and I have to use public transport, which is sometimes faster and cheaper, but does not provide the necessary freedom. Here we also attribute the presence of a mobile phone (only one who does not need it in FIG) does not have it, which does not restrict freedom of movement, if necessary, to be constantly in touch. We will fit here a laptop + wireless network access . To this compote we add the absence of a passport restricting the freedom of movement outside our state.
• Freedom from custody. I will not be mistaken if I say that each of the readers was puzzled or is now puzzled by this problem. We all love our parents and relatives, but despite this, we get enough of their excessive custody of us, which often translates into a manic desire to decide everything for us. Although it is impossible not to positively note the parents, who pose before us absolutely non-trivial tasks for gaining independence, which often result in moving to the college dormitory and various extra earnings designed to increase our independence from parents. IMHO , honor and praise to such parents.
• 2 degrees of information freedom or why I threw out the TV. All the people who come to me pay attention to the absence of the “box” in my apartment, from colleagues to girls. I explain this fact not by wasting my time on watching advertisements that I do not need, talk shows, capturing all the series and one-sided coverage of world events. I have enough Internet to satisfy my information needs (well, you yourself know that :). Like it or not, but the largest part of the network is still English-speaking, so limiting ourselves to working only in the Russian-speaking part we lose a huge amount of sometimes unique information. And when traveling abroad, having the ability to speak fluent in English , there is less chance of getting into an unpleasant situation.
• Labor freedom or whatever you want, but so far no fate. At the moment, I almost completely and completely depend on the organization in which I work. There are several ways to gain this freedom. Everyone has heard about freelance and FOREX . I take steps on both, albeit timid and sometimes extremely ridiculous, but over time everything will work out and I can add one more to the number of degrees of freedom.
• Now let's move on to an iron friend. Without going into details, I want to note that far from every store gives us the freedom to choose an operating system when buying , which in my opinion is high time to fix it. It’s not even that I can be an ardent Linuxoid and, in general , Venda Azta , but that when I buy a new car, I don’t need another small-sized license in FIGs (I also have them so that I salt them so whether?)
• In addition to the linux machine, windows are also found in my household. Here is another song. Open source is called. Not being a manic adherent of this ideology, I nevertheless strive to have software under open licenses nest on my typewriter (mainly for reasons of the ability to edit code and eliminate bugs that catch my eye).

All these freedoms and non-freedoms are somehow connected with my way of life, that's why I described them. Since we all have a slightly different way of life, someone may have similar or completely different ones. This is not important, the fact of our awareness of our lack of freedom and dependence is important , and in this regard, our attempts to increase the number of degrees of freedom, which in my humble opinion is one of the fundamental factors that have the potential for creativity and, as a rule, success. Of course, it is theoretically possible to follow the plot of Chuck Palahniuk and abandon everything, but in my opinion, it’s not so far to reach the Diogenov barrel, and we have a dime a dozen of any station, and I don’t want to be among them.
