How to download a large map from Google maps

H recently lo st, I began to plan their putshestvie of Spain by car. It’s very convenient to deal with this simplicity using Google maps . But Google Maps has one significant drawback - the work done (trip route) cannot be saved in good resolution with a picture. Having rummaged on the Internet, I found a wonderful way to save Google maps with or without paved routes. I hasten to share this technology with the habrasociety.

So, in the beginning there will be preparation.
    For this action we need:
    1.) A fiery fox
2.) A plug for a fiery fox called screengrab. It can be freely found by name on the Edon page .
3.) Normal Windows notebook (or any other text editor).

Having installed the screengrab and opening the fire fox, we will proceed.

    Step one :
Open Google Map and make a route (optional, you can simply open the map in the right place).

    Step Two : We
bring the map closer to the desired resolution (I, for example, needed to see secondary roads). And we install the map approximately in the center of the necessary site (For example, if you want a map of the city, you need to scribble the center of the city).

    Step Three :
Click on “Link” (located in the upper right corner of the map). And copy the text from the field "Insert HTML code for use on the site."

    Fourth step :
Save this text in the map.html file. Fifth

    step, very responsible :
Change the width and height of the map in pixels to the ones you need (for example, width = "2500" height = "5000").
The main thing here is not to be greedy much =)

    Step Six :
Open this file in the same fire fox and wait until the entire map is downloaded.

    Last step :
When the whole map has loaded, click the screengrab button and select save-> complete Page / Frame, thereby indicating to it that it is necessary to save not the visible area, but the entire loaded frame.

    It's all.
I hope this life hack is useful to anyone other than me.
